Joey McDowall is a British pop singer/songwriter, actress, model and radio presenter. ==Early life and modelling== Joey started her career at the age of five when she was taken on by child modelling agency (Elisabeth Smith ). She worked internationally for various stores, magazines and TV advertising with brands such as Keds shoes, C&A, and Sanyo. For toy company Mattel she was the 'face of Barbie' during a London promotion, appearing and singing at Hamleys toy store. She had some success as an actress, working with Floella Benjamin and appearing on ''The Bill''. She was asked to audition for Walt Disney Studios. Whilst in America she lived in Martha's Vineyard working for UK clothing company Jack Wills for two years promoting brand awareness. As a teenager she was offered places at Sylvia Young, Redroofs Theatre School, and The Arts Educational School. She studied at the Arts Educational School in Tring, Hertfordshire from age 11 to 18 on a scholarship basis. As a result of this training she has performed in several professional productions. She has worked frequently with UK makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury.
